Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Payment) for TikTok Live in Singapore. You will design, build, and own Money Platform capabilities across the web frontend and BFF layer, collaborating with product, finance, and compliance teams.

You will implement merchant onboarding, product listing, pay-in configuration, payout and tax, and develop AI agents to automate onboarding and engineering workflows. Strong TS/Node.js or Go, API design, and data modeling are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.

The TikTok Global Live R&D team builds and maintains the products behind TikTok's live streaming business. Our work spans social interaction, monetization activities, the creator ecosystem, subscription services, game streaming, and guild and operations platforms, supporting the product's rapid growth in global markets.Behind those products sit hard technical problems in service architecture, large model algorithms, and foundation technologies. Solving them keeps a fast-growing business reliable, efficient, and secure. At the same time, each business scenario needs technical solutions built for its own demands.You will work alongside a strong team on problems that move real product metrics and user experience, where every line of code you write reaches hundreds of millions of users.In this role, you will independently own development of the Merchant Portal end to end, and build AI agents that improve engineering efficiency and help users get answers to their questions.In this role, you will independently own development of the Merchant Portal end to end, and build AI agents that improve engineering efficiency and help users get answers to their questions.

• - Design, build and own Money Platform capabilities across the web frontend and the BFF layer (Node.js/TypeScript), and contribute to Go platform services, in areas such as merchant onboarding, product listing, pay-in configuration, payout and tax.
• - Build AI agents that make business onboarding self-serve, helping internal business teams move from requirements to configuration, integration and testing with far less hand-holding from the platform team.
• - Build AI agents and tooling for our own engineering workflow, such as codebase understanding, code generation within platform conventions, debugging, alarm triage and release checks, and measure whether they actually save engineering time.
• - Turn platform capabilities into well-defined APIs, tools and workflows that both engineers and agents can use reliably.
• - Work with product, backend, finance and compliance partners across regions to deliver systems where correctness, stability and auditability matter.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.- Proficient in at least one of TypeScript/Node.js or Go, and ready to work across both.- Experience building platform-level systems, including backend services and APIs, with a solid understanding of API design, data modeling, SQL/NoSQL storage and service-oriented architecture.- Hands-on experience building applications on top of LLMs, beyond using AI coding assistants: prompting, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and handling failure cases.- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with good written and spoken English for cross-regional collaboration.

Preferred Qualification(s)- Experience building AI agents in production, with practical knowledge of agent architectures, orchestration, tool calling, memory, planning and evaluation.- Experience building developer tooling, internal platforms, or configuration/low-code systems.- Experience with payments, billing, ledger or other financial systems where correctness, idempotency and auditability matter.- Experience with React or another modern frontend framework for building merchant-facing or internal products.
