Job summary

GovTech Singapore is modernizing MOE’s flagship Student Learning Space (SLS). As a Software Engineer, you will help build the next-generation SLS—an scalable platform connecting teachers, students and industry partners in a vibrant edtech ecosystem.

You will design, develop, and maintain robust modules, write clean code, and collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Education Officers to translate curricula into engaging digital experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a full-stack role.
• Solid foundation in Python, Node.js, Go and frontend frameworks React/Vue.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices, containers, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software modules for SLS.
• Technical Implementation: write clean, testable, and efficient code following standards.
• Collaborative Design: work with PMs, UX Designers, and Education Officers to translate requirements.
• System Architecture: contribute to architectural decisions for performance and maintainability.
• Code Quality: conduct reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• DevOps & Reliability: support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments for high availability.
• Agile Participation: engage in sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
