Responsibilities

• Lead the initial POC phase, building frontend with React.js/TypeScript.
• Then extend to backend API and automation using NodeJS/Python.
• Build and maintain CI/CD toolchain and secure deployment pipelines (GitLab, Terraform).
• Implement and support large-scale automation for cloud landing zones across providers.

Full Stack Engineer (Node.JS, React.JS)

Working Hours: Mon-Fri (Hybrid)

Remuneration: Up to $9,000 + AWS

Employment Type: Contract (1 year renewable with chances of conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a newly formed engineering squad building a self-service developer portal for the Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) platform. GCC enables government agencies to develop, deploy, and operate services securely on commercial cloud infrastructure. This role starts with a POC phase focused on frontend development, before expanding into backend API and automation work. The successful candidate will help shape platform tooling used across multiple government agencies, working closely with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and secure CI/CD pipelines on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an in-house engineering squad delivering the Self-Service Developer Portal for GCC
• Lead the initial POC phase, developing the frontend using React.js/TypeScript
• Progress to backend API and automation development using NodeJS/Python following POC validation
• Build and maintain CI/CD toolchain and secure deployment pipelines (GitLab, Terraform)
• Implement and support large-scale automation for cloud landing zones across multiple Cloud Service Providers in a government context
• Champion DevOps methodologies, contributing to automation, availability, scalability, and resiliency practices across the team and wider development community
• Collaborate with and guide other development teams on best practices for building and deploying on GCC
• Contribute to platform policies, standards, and toolchain improvements

Requirements

• At least 3 years of full stack experience, covering both backend (API) and frontend development
• Proficiency in React.js for frontend development
• Experience in Python or NodeJS for backend/API development
• Working knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure deployment and automation, ideally on AWS
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, and Git-based workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams
