Job summary

Ascendion in Singapore is seeking a full-stack engineer with strong hands-on experience across Java/Spring Boot and React.js to contribute across the complete application flow.

You will design and build backend services, REST APIs, and micro frontends, while working with Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL in an Agile environment. The role emphasizes clean, testable code and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot and React.js.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop REST APIs and microservices.
• Build and integrate micro frontend applications.
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend, API, backend and database layers.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, architects and business stakeholders.
• Work within an Agile delivery environment.
