Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, a leading technology consultancy based in Singapore, is hiring a Software Engineer (Full Stack) for a fixed-term contract to work on Singapore Government Agencies projects. The role covers end-to-end development across frontend and backend, including API design, cloud integration, and geospatial features with OpenLayers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in full stack development, proficiency in ReactJS, NodeJS, Python, and PostgreSQL, and experience with AWS.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in both frontend and backend application development.
• Experience with ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, and Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs and web services.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile software delivery teams.
• Experience with geospatial or map-based applications using OpenLayers.
• Experience implementing secure and scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting enterprise or government systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end diagnosis, development, testing, and implementation across frontend and backend systems.
• Investigate and resolve cross-layer defects, performance issues, and system incidents.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrated application features and services.
• Develop and enhance frontend applications using modern web technologies.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs, services, and business logic components.
• Implement database changes, optimisation, and integration activities.
• Support deployment, testing, and release activities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to deliver business requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
