Job summary

Beyondsoft Consulting (Singapore) Pte. Ltd is seeking a senior software engineer to provide hands-on leadership within agile teams.

You will design, implement, and deliver scalable software for sequencing instruments, collaborating with local and remote teammates to ensure high quality across distributed development activities. The role requires strong expertise in C#, .NET, Angular/React, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and SQL, with cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) being a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering as an individual contributor.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET (.NET Core or .NET 6+).
• Strong experience with Angular and React.
• Proficient in TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and SQL databases.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Node.js is a plus.
• Experience in secure or air-gapped environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive design/code reviews to ensure coding standards and product quality.
• Coordinate with local and remote teams for timely execution across distributed development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide hands-on technical leadership within Agile scrum teams to design, develop, test, and deliver software that controls advanced DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments.
• Lead software architecture, design, and implementation activities to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions aligned with product and business objectives.
• Actively participate in the full Agile development lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and technical issues in a timely and structured manner.
• Drive software design and code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, testability, maintainability, and product quality expectations.
• Coordinate effectively with local and remote team members to promote clear communication, technical alignment, knowledge sharing, and timely execution across distributed development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 6 years of experience in a software engineering role as an individual contributor.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET (.NET Core or .NET 6 and above).
• Strong experience with Angular and React.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, and working with SQL databases.
• Experience delivering large scale solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is an advantage.
• Experience with Node.js is an advantage.
• Experience working in secure or air gapped environments (e.g. government or regulated industries) is a plus.
