Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is hiring for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) team, working on Scanvas, a next-generation AI-powered platform for digitising national examination scripts. You will touch real hardware, build desktop and web applications, and integrate AI services to process millions of pages under peak load.

Role requires strong fundamentals, concurrency understanding, and a hands-on approach to architecture beyond mere

Qualifications

• Solid full-stack experience — web frontend, backend APIs, relational databases.
• Comfort building desktop applications or Electron-based apps.
• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs into production systems and handling rate limits.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Scanvas web platform — API routes, queues, databases, canvas editor.
• Develop ScanController desktop app interfacing with scanners and cloud.
• Integrate hardware SDKs and vendor APIs for reliable scanning pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and operations to convert real workflows into trusted software.
