Job summary

H2 Games is seeking a junior software engineer to help design and implement core platform features across frontend and backend. You will translate business needs into APIs and data models while collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver practical capabilities.

Graduating in 2026 or 2027, you will work on scalable services, data platforms, and AI-assisted workflows, with opportunities to own features end-to-end and grow as an engineer.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/SE or related field.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OS, networks, databases.
• Interest in both frontend and backend development.
• Exposure to web app architecture and workflows is a plus.
• Internship or project experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and iteration of core platform features across the frontend and backend.

• Explore and apply AI technologies to real product workflows, ensuring outputs are understandable, verifiable, and reversible where appropriate.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and business teams to turn complex capabilities into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering practices that improve code quality and delivery efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, graduating in 2026 or 2027.
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, and databases.
• Interest in both frontend and backend development, with a basic understanding of modern web application architecture and development workflows.
• Familiarity with relational databases and file or object storage; exposure to access control, data security, or data isolation is a plus.
• Internship experience, personal projects, coursework, open-source contributions, or programming competition experience is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Interest in practical AI applications and AI-assisted development tools, while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and reliability.
