Job summary

INFINITE COMPUTER SOLUTIONS PTE LTD is seeking a hands-on software engineer to design and develop the GFM post-trade settlement system and its workbench. You will drive conversations with business users, translate requirements into scalable microservices, and collaborate with technology teams across regions.

The role requires strong Java 8, Spring, Docker, and JMS experience, plus exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and container orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 and microservices architecture.
• Deep knowledge of JMS techs (ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache Camel).
• Proficient with NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB).
• Experience with Spring family, AngularJS/ReactJS, and ORM (Hibernate/JPA).
• Familiar with Linux, Agile/Scrum, TDD, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Own design and development of the GFM post-trade settlement system and related microservices.
• Lead discussions with users to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery and collaborate across regional technology teams.
• Develop cloud apps and manage deployment pipelines with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design and development of the GFM post-trade settlement system, workbench, microservices, and cloud applications.
• Drive discussions with business users to understand and address business requirements.
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering the project on time.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and with technology teams across multiple regions.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8, Microservices, and Docker.
• Good knowledge of JMS technologies, including ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Apache Camel.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud.
• Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining microservices on AWS, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience using Docker to create reproducible build and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Elasticsearch as a search index and ELK for log aggregation and analysis.
• Ability to read execution plans, tune SQL queries, profile applications, and analyse heap and thread dumps.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift, or PCF.
• Knowledge of the ELK stack.
