Job summary

Encora Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on software engineer with strong Java 8 and microservices experience.

The role covers designing, building, and deploying scalable services using Docker, Spring, and cloud-native patterns. Familiarity with JMS, Apache Camel, ELK, and SQL/NoSQL databases is essential. Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux, and Agile methodologies will help drive high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Must-have: Strong hands-on experience in Java 8, Microservice & Docker.
• Must-have: Good knowledge in JMS (Active MQ, Kafka, Rabbit MQ), Apache Camel.
• Must-have: Strong NoSQL knowledge (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Must-have: Strong SQL knowledge (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB).
• Must-have: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud.
• Must-have: AngularJS or ReactJS, JavaScript, jQuery; ORM like Hibernate or JPA.
• Must-have: Linux OS familiarity.
• Must-have: Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Must-have: Knowledge of TDD and CI practices.
• Must-have: Experience building/deploying microservices on AWS, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Must-have: Docker for reproducible builds and deployments.
• Must-have: Elastic Search as search index and ELK for logs.
• Must-have: Ability to read explain plans, tune SQL, profile apps, analyze heap/thread dumps; automate repetitive tasks.

Job description

Must-have:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8, Microservice & Docker
• Good knowledge in JMS (Active MQ, Kafka, Rabbit MQ), ApacheCamel
• Strong NoSQL Database knowledge like MongoDB, Cassandra
• Strong knowledge in SQL (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB)
• Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud
• AngularJS or ReactJS, JavaScript, jQuery ORM like Hibernate orJPA
• Familiar with Linux operation system
• Experience working with, or an interest in Agile Methodologies,such Scrum
• Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-DrivenDevelopment (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI)
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining microservices on AWS, Kubernetes or Open shift
• Experience using Docker to create reproducible build and deployment pipelines
• Experience with Elastic Search as search index and ELK for log aggregation and analysis
• You know how to read explain plans and tune SQL Queries, profile applications, analyze heap and thread dumps Able to automate repetitive tasks

Good-to-have:

• Cloud Platforms like AWS, Open Shift, PCF
• Good to have knowledge on ELK stack
