Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a versatile Full Stack Developer in Singapore to build and maintain end-to-end web applications from React-based UIs to scalable backend services and APIs. The role supports a stack including React, Java, Node.js, Python, and AWS Lambda, with a strong emphasis on engineering fundamentals across the stack.

You will translate business needs into clean, well-tested solutions, collaborate with product managers and designers, and contribute to code reviews while addressing defects

We are seeking a versatile Full Stack Developer to build and maintain end-to-end web applications, from React-based user interfaces through to scalable backend services and APIs. Our frontend is built with React. While we work extensively with Java, this role is open to strong developers whose core backend experience is in Node.js, AWS Lambda, Python, or a similar technology — we value engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across the stack over any single language.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Design and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, Node.js, AWS Lambda, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Translate business requirements into clean, well-tested solutions across the full stack.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience building web applications as a backend, frontend, or full stack developer.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language or runtime, such as Java, Node.js, Python, or AWS Lambda.
• Hands‑on experience with React and a good command of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with Git and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across more than one backend technology (e.g., both Java and Node.js).
• Familiarity with Spring, Express, or similar backend frameworks.
• Experience with cloud and serverless platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3) and microservices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and automated testing.
• TypeScript and React ecosystem tools (e.g., Redux, React Query); Agile/Scrum experience.
