Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer in Singapore to own end-to-end data pipelines and contribute to platform architecture. You will design data models, build scalable infrastructure, and ensure data quality and governance in a regulated environment.

The role supports AI-enabled features and requires strong collaboration with software engineers and stakeholders. We offer a 12-month fixed-term contract and opportunities for growth within a leading technology

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of professional software/data engineering experience with proven ownership of production data systems end-to-end.
• Strong fundamentals in ETL/ELT, data modeling, and batch/stream processing.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language and building production-grade backend systems.
• Solid API design and system architecture skills; ability to work across the stack when needed.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms or lakehouse architectures.
• Ability to operate with autonomy and lead technical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and delivery of data pipelines from ingestion to serving.
• Design data models and storage architectures for operational and analytical workloads.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for data quality, observability, and governance.
• Contribute to broader product and platform architecture with other engineers.
• Design systems extensible for AI/RAG features over time.
• Contribute to key technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on platform and deployment decisions.
• Work with data sensitivity and regulatory constraints.
