Job summary

PeopleSearch in Singapore is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team. You will build and evolve our HR web platform and AI-powered applications, delivering features from API and database design to front-end delivery and cloud deployment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in full stack roles, strong Node.js/Express.js, Vue.js with Vuetify, PostgreSQL, and experience building RESTful APIs and real-time features.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, and familiarity with a Node.js ORM (e.g. Sequelize, Prisma, TypeORM).
• Hands-on experience designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in Vue.js, with experience using UI frameworks such as Vuetify.
• Practical experience with real-time communication patterns (WebSockets or SSE).
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployment concepts.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop our HR web platform, delivering features that streamline HR processes and improve the user experience for clients and employees.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable back-end services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Develop and manage robust RESTful APIs for internal and external use.
• Design PostgreSQL database schemas and optimise queries for performance.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces using Vue.js and Vuetify.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional front-end code.
• Implement real-time features using Server-Sent Events (SSE) or WebSockets.
• Deploy, manage and monitor applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS).
• Use Git for version control, and take part in branching, merging and peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software components.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code across the stack.
• Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
