Job description
- Perform testing of marine fuels, lubricating oils, and other petroleum products in accordance with ISO, ASTM, and other equivalent international standard test methods.
- Conduct quality control checks and maintain daily laboratory datasheets.
- Work closely with the technical supervisor on the development of laboratory testing procedures, working protocols, and in-house testing methods.
- Prepare analysis reports and technical documents for customers.
- Assist in material/method development and support research projects.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of chemicals and glassware, and assist with the maintenance of laboratory and general test equipment.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding purchase matters.
- Assist in technical audits and support the laboratory quality management system in accordance with SAC Singlas and ISO 17025 requirements.
- Ensure that safety equipment and procedures are maintained and comply with required standards.
Job Requirements
- Minimum diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a testing laboratory, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in testing bunker fuel or petroleum products is required.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with good communication abilities.
- Willingness to attend the laboratory after office hours, if required.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
