Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers (Data and AI) to work with massive enterprise data lakes and production systems, delivering Text-to-SQL and evaluation workflows across BigQuery, Dataflow, and related tools. You will partner with customer engineering teams to design scalable data systems from whiteboard to production.

You will own end-to-end delivery, from discovery and pipeline engineering to semantic modeling and reliability, embedding with the largest customers to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or CS.
• 5+ years in software development and data engineering with SQL/Python/Java/Scala/Go.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks (dbt, Dataform) and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI applications and production-grade agentic workflows to boost ROI.
• Co-build with customer teams to implement best practices for long-term success.
• Design high-throughput batch and streaming data pipelines for large evaluation datasets.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines with Dataform, dbt, BigQuery, Dataproc for data marts and semantic layers.
• Create synthetic data generation mechanisms with referential integrity for benchmarking.
