Job summary

Google is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers (Data and AI) to work with massive enterprise data lakes and warehouses, delivering production-grade workflows. You will embed with customer teams to deploy Text-to-SQL, evaluation generation, and data intelligence pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and related tools.

You will guide end-to-end data system design, from architecture to rollout, ensuring reliability and scalable performance in latency-constrained environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• At least 5 years of software development and data engineering experience with SQL and at least one major language (Python/Java/Scala/Go).
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and enterprise data modeling.
• Preferred candidates hold advanced degrees and show expertise in AI/data-warehouse ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex AI applications and production-grade agentic workflows to deliver measurable ROI.
• Co-build with customer teams to apply Google-grade development practices for long-term success.
• Design and build high-throughput data pipelines for multi-terabyte evaluation datasets.
• Create ETL/ELT pipelines with Dataform/dbt and data marts to maximize data quality and semantic clarity.
• Develop large-scale synthetic data generation with referential integrity for benchmarking and fine-tuning.
