Role Description

The French Language Online Tutor will deliver live, one-on-one French lessons via video to learners of various ages and proficiency levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing customized lesson plans, conducting interactive sessions, assessing learner progress, and adapting teaching methods to individual goals. The tutor will use digital tools and platforms to create engaging learning experiences and maintain accurate records of sessions and feedback. This is a contract role and fully remote, allowing the tutor to work from any location with a stable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Strong Online tutoring skills, with experience delivering individualized lessons to children.
• Proficiency in teaching, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging learners and providing constructive feedback.
• Native or native-like proficiency in European French, with clear pronunciation and a strong grasp of grammar.
• Relevant teaching certification (e.g., language teaching, education, or pedagogy), especially for teaching children.
• Comfort with using video conferencing tools and digital learning resources.
• Ability to work independently, manage schedules across time zones, and maintain a professional online presence.
• Prior experience in online language teaching or coaching is highly beneficial.
• Pay rate from $18-$20/hr, depending on experience.
