Job summary

National University of Singapore (NUS), Faculty of Science Corporate Communications invites experienced freelance multimedia and web designers to join on a project basis. You will translate briefs into visually consistent deliverables across digital and print, including microsites, landing pages and campaigns.

Applicants should have strong design skills, hands-on experience in graphic and web design, and familiarity with WordPress, HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in relevant design/communications field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience preferred in in-house communications or agency.
• Strong portfolio of graphic/web design work.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign).
• Hands-on experience building websites or microsites using WordPress or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS with ability to implement frontend customisations.
• Understanding of responsive design, UI/UX, and accessibility.
• Detail-oriented with good time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and update microsites and landing pages using WordPress or other platforms.
• Translate briefs into effective webpage structures and responsive experiences.
• Implement frontend customisations with HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript.
• Create and update digital assets, images and forms.
• Ensure accessibility, SEO basics and cross-device compatibility.
• Test pages across devices and browsers before handover.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather feedback and deliver on scope.
• Organise final deliverables with editable source files.
