Job summary

Dementia Singapore Ltd is seeking a reliable van driver to transport elderly clients to the centre and accompany them on outdoor activities. You will ensure client safety, assist with boarding and alighting, and operate the van's hydraulic lift when needed.

You will secure wheelchairs, keep the vehicle clean, report any defects, and coordinate with caregivers. A Class 3 licence and 3+ years of van driving experience, plus a passion for elderly care, are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess Class 3 driving license.
• At least 3 years' working experience as a van driver.
• Passion in working and caring for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from their home and the Centre daily.
• Ferry clients for outdoor trips and events.
• Ensure the safety of the clients during transportation.
• Assist the clients in boarding and alighting from the van.
• Able to operate the hydraulic lift system of the van in a safe manner to transfer the clients.
• Ensure the wheelchairs are secured safely to the floor board when having clients on wheelchairs.
• Ensure the van is kept clean and in good condition at all times.
• Report defects, damage and malfunction of the van.
• Bring the van for repairs and follow up on any faults with the workshop.
• Build good rapport with clients' caregivers.
• Carry out any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.
