Job description

Job Description:

This position reports to the firm’s audit manager and audit partner. The firm’s management is committed to a client-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality work delivery, and continuous improvement.

Full Scope of Responsibilities as a Freelance Auditor:

  1. Participate in audit planning meetings, as applicable.
  2. Participate in audit procedural tests with guidance from the audit manager or audit partner, including walk-through tests, sampling techniques, compliance tests of internal controls (if applicable), substantive tests of account balances, analytical reviews, and audit verification by physical inspection, such as physical count of year-end inventories.
  3. Assist in the preparation of audit working papers and the completion of audit programs.
  4. Draft financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and prepare related reports such as engagement letters, management letters, and propose any necessary audit adjustments.
  5. Prepare draft tax computations or review estimated tax computations for audit purposes.
  6. Compile financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, including the preparation of cash flow statements.

Technical Skills and Competencies to Develop:

  • Knowledge and skills in using Caseware audit software.
  • Skill in performing audit tests and documenting audit workpapers.
  • Enhance communication skills—oral and business writing.
  • Develop skills in preparing high-quality financial statements.
  • Knowledge and application of Financial Reporting Standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree or professional qualification equivalent to a degree, or finalist in completing professional certificates, with a minimum of 5 years of Singapore auditing experience in a sizable firm.

Eligibility Criteria:

Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

Remuneration:

Sharing of fees based on market rates.
