Franchise Director – Emerging Asia (incl. India)

An international consumer retail organisation is hiring a dynamic Regional Franchise Director to lead its high-growth Emerging Asia markets, including India. The role is based in Singapore and supported by a regional team and centre-of-excellence functions.

The position holds full commercial accountability across the assigned franchise markets — including P&L ownership, partner governance, and in-market execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial results and full P&L performance across franchise markets in Emerging Asia
  • Develop and manage strategic franchise partnerships, anchored on joint business plans, commercial KPIs, and product strategies
  • Lead a regional team of key account and commercial managers, building capabilities and operational discipline
  • Conduct regular market visits to assess execution, uphold brand standards, and identify growth levers
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and supply chain CoEs to drive cross-functional enablement and execution

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in managing franchise or distributor partnerships in India (essential success factor)
  • Proven leadership in partner-led commercial models, with end-to-end P&L accountability
  • Industry experience in retail, FMCG, lifestyle, or other consumer categories
  • Regional experience across Asia preferred; in-depth India execution track record required
  • High-energy, change-oriented leadership style — bold, direct, and able to drive alignment through clarity and conviction
