FP&A Manager (Offshore Engineering/Marine)

The Company

An established maritime engineering and offshore company is seeking a FP&A Manager to join their finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing one staff member, this role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior management, including the CFO, Managing Director, and Heads of Operations and Engineering. This is a global portfolio role that involves driving financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

1. Prepare monthly Group consolidated maritime financial reports, providing insightful commentary and analysis on performance.
2. Present financial results to top management and ensure the accuracy and completeness of management reports.
3. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, engaging with stakeholders and preparing key presentation materials.
4. Analyze financial data to assess performance, investigate variances, and provide strategic insights.
5. Maintain forecast models for budgeting and financial planning.
6. Prepare cash flow forecasts for monthly management reporting.
7. Oversee CapEx management, working capital, and monitoring of bank accounts and loans.
8. Review overhead cost allocations and conduct special cost studies when required.
9. Collaborate with business units to provide performance insights and support KPI achievement.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:

1. 7 years of experience in FP&A and/or management reporting.
2. Prior Big 4 experience is highly desirable.
3. Strong financial analysis, communication, and presentation skills.
4. Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with complex financial models.
5. Proactive, strategic thinker with a keen eye for process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
