Role Summary
We are seeking an FP&A Manager to support our global operations and regional teams with robust financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This is a critical role working closely with the Director of Operations - APAC, the global FP&A team, regional finance business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver the Institute’s financial planning strategy, enable informed decision-making, and ensure financial discipline across the organisation. We are looking for a talented candidate with significant FP&A experience in international, complex, and fast-paced environments, who will play a key role in shaping budgeting processes, improving performance reporting, and supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics.
- Provide actionable insights on profitability and cost recovery opportunities.
- Analyse non-financial KPIs and operational performance indicators to identify trends and drivers impacting financial outcomes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packs.
- Contribute to month-end close activities and develop presentation materials for senior leadership.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Modelling
- Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process across departments.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning and resource allocation.
- Forecast income and revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor actuals vs. budget performance and provide variance analysis and corrective action insights.
- Support operational budget holders in planning, monitoring, and forecasting activities.
- Systems, Tools & Process Improvement
- Build, maintain, and improve dashboards (e.g. in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) to visualise financial and operational performance.
- Design and implement streamlined financial planning processes and templates.
- Standardise and automate reporting and forecasting tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Integrate financial data with operational and non-financial metrics to create holistic performance dashboards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation in financial workflows.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted financial partner to operations teams and budget holders across regions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather financial data and ensure alignment of financial plans.

Person Specification
This is a critical role within a dynamic and fast-paced global finance team, responsible for delivering high-quality financial insights, driving performance management, and contributing to broader strategic planning processes. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, business partnering skills, and a commitment to operational excellence, and be able to demonstrate most of the following:
- Extensive experience in FP&A roles within international, matrixed, and fast-paced environments, ideally supporting multi-region operations.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Strong proficiency in building and maintaining dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) and analysing both financial and non-financial performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to align financial planning processes with organisational goals, with a track record of driving efficiency and automation in planning and reporting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence decision-makers, including senior leadership.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to manage both high-level financial strategy and day-to-day financial operations.
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects and reporting cycles simultaneously.
- Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate complex and evolving financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, working across different time zones, and supporting global teams with varying levels of financial literacy.
