Job summary

Principle Partners in Singapore is hiring an FP&A Lead to build the firm’s FP&A function from the ground up. This hands-on role partners with senior management, investment teams, and the wider business to shape processes, build models, and provide insights that drive strategic and operational decisions as the firm scales.

You will own annual budgets, forecasts and long-range plans; develop financial models; lead monthly and quarterly reporting; and perform variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Strong FP&A experience, ideally in asset management or related environments.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen linking financials to business drivers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment; self-starter with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the firm’s annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.

• Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including KPIs and dashboards.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and translate results into actionable insights.

• Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling for strategic initiatives.
• Establish and enhance FP&A processes, frameworks and reporting infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting efficiency, and automation.
• Present financial performance and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.

This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional who can go beyond traditional reporting and act as a true business partner to senior management, investment teams, and the wider business. You will have the opportunity to shape FP&A processes, build financial models, and provide insights that support strategic and operational decision-making as the firm continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own the firm’s annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
• Develop and maintain financial models covering revenue, costs, headcount, allocations, and business performance
• Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including management reporting, KPIs, and executive dashboards
• Perform detailed variance analysis, identifying key drivers and translating financial results into actionable business insights
• Partner closely with investment, operations, and corporate functions to understand business performance and support decision-making
• Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic initiatives and business planning
• Establish and enhance FP&A processes, frameworks, and reporting infrastructure as the function develops
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting efficiency, and automation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
• Strong FP&A experience, ideally gained within asset management, hedge funds, private equity, or other alternative investment environments
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
• Demonstrated experience across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to underlying business drivers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with a willingness to build processes from the ground up
• Self-starter with strong ownership, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
