Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a motivated Finance Analyst with strong business acumen to join SPG Asia Finance. You will partner with Lab Operations and BU leaders to manage Opex, Capex, and spend reporting for Singapore Lab Operations and support grant sizing and ROI analyses for key R&D programs.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, business or operations finance preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor R&D sector preferred.
• Data analysis tools such as Power BI / SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Opex, Capex and Spend management and reporting activities for Singapore Lab Operations.
• Lead quarter spending & budget management with SG Labs and BU stakeholders to prioritize projects.
• Independently perform variance analysis, explain forecast-to-actual changes, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to drive spending discipline, forecast accuracy, and investment optimization.
• Support ROI models for key R&D programs and participate in quarterly updates of program business case NPV models.
• Implement Anaplan, SAP BPC, Tableau reporting and Project Resource Management to streamline spend reporting and analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy and help management tell the story of the business unit using forecast/budget/close data.
