Job summary

Google LLC in Singapore is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers (Data and AI) to work with large enterprise data lakes and production-grade workflows, focusing on Text-to-SQL and semantic modeling across BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Dataform/dbt.

You will partner with customer engineering teams to embed Google's enterprise data and AI stack, design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and own end-to-end data systems from discovery to rollout, while ensuring governance and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development and data engineering with SQL, Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks (dbt, Dataform) and designing data modeling layers or data marts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade workflows.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to instill Google-grade development practices for long-term success.
• Design and build high-throughput data pipelines and utilities to curate large evaluation datasets and generate offline/online evaluation data.
