Job description

*5.5 days work week (Alternate Saturday Off)

Job Scope:

  • Engage in R&D initiatives such as cost reduction, ingredient substitution / consolidation and other key activities as assigned
  • To develop recipes and conduct tests to optimize product design for new and existing products
  • Develop new product packaging including bar code setting, product label
  • Ensuring all product creations comply with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within country of sale.
  • Ensure timely documentations of formulae, product and packaging specifications, sensory evaluation, nutritional information and any other document related to product / packaging development.
  • Develop and improve process controls to ensure high standards of food safety and quality
  • Involve in regulatory, certification body and customer’s audits and assist in follow-up corrective/ preventive actions.
  • Responsible for customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Attend to customer complaints and technical service by providing support and solutions for issues pertaining to products and processes.
  • Plan projects; coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve critical issues for timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Maintain equipment and the calibration of the equipment in the lab
  • Conduct food safety trainings to staffs and develop training materials and assessment plan.
  • Ensure pest management program in place and it runs effectively
  • Do other task assigned by superior.

Requirement:

  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science & Technology or similar discipline
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in food manufacturing industry
  • Passionate about food product development
  • Highly experience with trouble-shooting when encountering difficulties
  • Strong experience in using basic laboratory equipment and able to provide training to junior team members
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent in compiling data and writing technical report for internal and external readers or customers
  • ISO, HACCP, BRC, HALAL certification related knowledge
