FOOD PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN Job Description

A Food Production Technician is responsible for preparing and processing foods, ensuring that production meets quality standards and is delivered in a timely manner. Duties include operating small kitchen equipment such as Mixer Grinder, Deep Fryer, Electric Cookers, packing, and monitoring product quality.

The Food Production Technician is needed to prepare and package foods according to the company's standards. They may also be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment, following food safety regulations, and ensuring products meet safety requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the preparation of food items.
  2. Ensure the kitchen and production area are kept clean and tidy.
  3. Check ingredients and food products for quality.
  4. Package food items ready for sale.
  5. Follow food safety regulations and health codes.
  6. Prepare ingredients for the shift, such as washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
  7. Prepare equipment like deep fryers, utensils, and grills for the shift.
  8. Mix flour for Roti Prate.
  9. Cook items like Nasi Goreng, Ikan Pils, Mee, Kway Teow, noodles.
  10. Prepare South Indian and North Indian curries.
  11. Cook food according to health and safety standards.
  12. Deliver food orders to wait staff promptly.
  13. Store all food properly.
  14. Sanitize and clean workstations and utensils.
  15. Reorder stock and food supplies as needed.
  16. Monitor other cooks and team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Willing to work any shift.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently.
  • Physical endurance to stand for entire shifts.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Works well as part of a team and independently.
  • Able to memorize complex or multiple orders quickly.
  • Degree, Diploma, or minimum three years relevant work experience.
  • Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
