Job Summary:

The Food Production Manager oversees the daily operations of a food manufacturing or processing facility. This role ensures food products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining compliance with health regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise production staff and scheduling to ensure timely output
  • Monitor and control production processes and equipment
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) are followed
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures
  • Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline operations
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity and waste reduction
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate production personnel
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in food production or manufacturing (typically 3–5 years)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and reporting tools is an advantage
