A leading food MNC is looking for a Sensory Group Manager to lead sensory evaluations and manage a team. The role requires a strong background in food science and experience in FMCG R&D. [Food MNC] Sensory Group Manager (Small HOD) (Must Have Management Experience) (Up 9K) @ Boon Lay #HJC

Lead and manage a team of Panel Leaders and Technicians

- Ensures sensory evaluations are conducted timely, accurately, and consistently.

- Ensures sensory data provide recommendations to inform product development decisions.

- Manages team workflows, conducts target setting, and fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment.

- Develops strategy to sustain maximum attendance during sensory evaluations.

- Establish standard routines and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensures compliance to all relevant standards.

Enable competency of sensory panels

- Develops training programs to enhance the sensory literacy and skills of the panels.

- Ensures performance checks are done regularly.

- Ensures back-up system is fully established.

Manage optimal use of resources

- Leads resolution of conflicts related to schedules

- Conducts workload studies and implement optimization actions

Network and provide technical assistance

- Network/communicate within R&D locations on sensory methodology, to contribute to knowledge transfer and to keep up with new development in the field.

- Continuously seeks for improving Sensory Evaluation methods.

Requirement :

1. Academic background in food science / food technology (scientific / technical and statistical knowledge).

2. Ideally min. 3-5 years of experience in sensory evaluation, preferably in FMCG from R&D side. A broader experience in operations and management is a plus.
