Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the packaging department.
- Leading and motivating packaging teams, providing guidance.
- Ensuring all packaging processes meet safety regulations.
- Overseeing the procurement and efficient use of materials.
- Collaborating to develop and implement production plans.
- Contributing to new packaging designs and materials.
- Monitoring and controlling packaging costs for efficiency.
- Ensuring packaging equipment is maintained and functioning.
- Generating reports on packaging performance and data.
- Maintaining effective communication with other departments.
- Addressing and resolving issues related to packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising Packaging Operations: Managing the day-to-day activities of the packaging department, including machine operation, material handling, and quality control.
- Team Leadership: Leading and motivating packaging teams, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Quality and Safety Compliance: Ensuring all packaging processes adhere to food safety regulations, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Material Management: Overseeing the procurement, storage, and efficient use of packaging materials, including forecasting and inventory control.
- Production Planning: Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement production plans, ensuring packaging aligns with production schedules.
- New Packaging Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of new packaging designs and materials.
- Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling packaging costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring packaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning optimally, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on packaging performance, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintaining effective communication with other departments, including production, quality control, and procurement.
- Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving issues related to packaging operations, such as production delays, quality defects, or equipment malfunctions.
