Job Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, manage a portfolio of clients and seek business to ensure optimum sales in corporate, leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), Social/Weddings, etc. of all restaurant(s), function(s) and catering facilities within the Hotel, and outside catering.
Establish strong network of contacts for business opportunities, develop productive sales relationship with all customers and potential ones, and keep in close touch with the market regarding competitive pricing, promotion, products, etc.
Work closely with digital marketing and Public Relation teams to promote F&B offerings through campaigns, social media, and seasonal activations.
Manage venue hire platforms and ensure up to date information on the venue marketplace
Organize familiarization of hotel and our catering facilities with clients.
Participate in sales roadshow / blitzes, trade functions, trade shows and promotions.
Prepare contract, invoice, collect payments, and liaise for event preparation and finalization with clients.
Prepare, circulate Banquet Event Order, floor plans, etc. and conduct weekly briefing for Food & Beverage service/operations. Prepare and handover all soft copies and prints of event signage, menu card, etc. prior to event.
Prepare weekly sales activity reports, forecasts, competitive analysis, Events Sales reports and consolidate such reports for submission.
Assist in the preparation of the annual events and catering sales budget for management approval and implementing the budget when it is approved. Be involved in establishing annual targets during the Business Planning phase.
Exercise all reasonable care in safeguarding the hotel’s propriety information.
Perform any other job tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality or a related field.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with strong track record.
Strong interpersonal and service skills.
Attentive to details.
