Job description

As a Floor Manager in our bistro, you will be responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service flow, managing staff performance, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. Your leadership and attention to detail will be key to maintaining high service standards, handling guest interactions, and coordinating with kitchen and service teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate service crew during daily operations.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate service goals, special menu items, or promotions.
  • Manage daily staff schedules, station assignments, and floor coverage.
  • Train and onboard new service staff on SOPs and service etiquette.
  • Ensure smooth floor operations during service, including seating, order flow, and table turnover.
  • Monitor table service quality, guest satisfaction, and response to service issues.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
  • Greet and interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Handle special requests, reservations, and feedback in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Uphold the bistro's brand image through excellent service and hospitality.
  • Ensure dining area cleanliness, table setup, and hygiene meet health and safety regulations.
  • Enforce staff compliance with food safety, grooming, and uniform standards.
  • Conduct walk-throughs to ensure facilities and ambience are guest-ready at all times.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (2–4 years) in a supervisory or floor management role in F&B.
  • Strong leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-service oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Proficient in POS systems, reservations platforms, and basic reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is essential.
