Job summary

AVIATION SAFETY AND TRAINING PTE. LTD. is seeking a diligent technician to perform maintenance on flight training devices, handle diagnostics, and ensure documentation is up to date.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, 1–2 years of experience, can read technical drawings, and is willing to work a 12-hour Day/Night roster. PLC experience and simulators background are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aviation, Electronics, Automation, Mechanical etc).
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment on a 12 Hour rotating shift (Day/Night) roster.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics of electronics, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-flight and post-flight operations on training devices and complete documentation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on training devices as assigned.
• Respond to customers' training needs to ensure reliability and availability of training devices.
• Adhere to AST’s quality standards.
• Assist in diagnosing faults and repairing components where possible.
• Assist in modifying and upgrading simulators training devices and related system components.
• Assist in running Qualification Test Guides.
• Update technical and logistical documentation.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain simulators and components.
• Assist and participate in evaluations by national aviation authorities.
