Job summary

Job description

(Mechanical) Candidates are expected to:-

  • Carry out repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery onboard PSA Marine harbour crafts
  • Liaise with Fleet Operations team on breakdown reports and harbour crafts status
  • Perform lathe machining, basic gas welding, and cutting works to facilitate repair to machinery
  • Assist in lifting activities, forklift operation, confined space assessment
  • Perform proper disposal of used oils and chemicals

(Electrical) Candidates are expected to:-

  • Carry out repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery onboard PSA Marine harbour crafts
  • Liaise with Fleet Operations team on breakdown reports and harbour crafts status
  • Troubleshoot and carry out thorough rectification of deficiencies in machinery and control system
  • Perform wiring and connection of electrical cables
  • Install electrical and electronic accessories and components


The ideal candidate should preferably:-

  • Possess at least a Nitec in Marine Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and MOM accredited certifications such as SSIC, Safety Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, Forklift Driving
  • For Mechanical candidates: Prior experience in performing mechanical fitment, basic gas and TIG welding, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting will be considered favourably
  • For Electrical candidates: Good knowledge of electrical and instrument systems and familiar with electrical schematics diagrams and symbols will be considered favourably
  • Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a senior position
