Job description

Our esteemed client in the Chemical industry is seeking Flavor Chemist (Sweet) to join their dynamic team:

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Position: Flavor Chemist (Sweet)
  • Location: Pasir Panjang
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • Salary Package: Basic + AWS + Performance Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative sweet flavor formulations based on consumer insights and evolving market demands.
  • Optimize existing flavor recipes to enhance sensory performance, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in trend analysis and market research to identify new opportunities for flavor innovation and product differentiation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing teams to support a seamless development-to-launch process.
  • Maintain and manage laboratory operations, ensuring safety, equipment readiness, and adherence to internal protocols.
  • Conduct consumer testing and sensory evaluations, making iterative improvements based on feedback to meet market expectations.

Job Requirements:

  • At least Degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sweet flavor development or a related field within the F&B industry.
  • Solid understanding of sweet flavor ingredients, flavor chemistry, and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in sweeteners (natural and artificial), sugars, and their application interactions.
  • Proficiency in lab tools and software; experience with data analysis is an added advantage.
