Job summary

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an experienced trader to join our Macro trading team, focused on building out our global fixed income strategy. This role will reside in our Singapore office, with responsibilities spanning trade execution and collaboration with quantitative research and technology teams to implement strategies and trading tools.

Key duties include risk reviews, maintaining strong connections with counterparties, and daily market communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Minimum of 2 years trading experience in global fixed income products on the buy-side.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Docs and trading platforms (Tradeweb, Bloomberg).
• Understanding of APAC fixed income market structure and products (FX, IRS, sovereign bonds, inflation swaps, bond futures).
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large trade sizes and counts.

Responsibilities

• Review risk (trade entry, DV01, allocations, PNL tracking, portfolio risk checks).
• Collaborate with Quantitative Research to provide real-time feedback for model optimization.
• Collaborate with Systems Technology to build efficient trading systems.
• Build relationships with dealers and communicate important information to the team.
• Interact with sell-side Research teams and provide daily market updates.

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an experienced trader to join our Macro trading team, focused specifically on building out our exciting global fixed income strategy. Our team deploys both discretionary and quantitative trade ideas globally. This role will reside in our Singapore office. Responsibilities of this role will include trade execution, collaboration with quantitative research/technology teams to implement strategies/tools, primary interaction with counterparties, and more.

Responsibilities

• Review risk (trade entry, DV01, allocations, PNL tracking, portfolio risk checks)
• Collaborate with Quantitative Research team to provide real-time feedback for model optimization (challenge model assumptions, update transaction cost assumptions, evaluate trade suggestions, and identify model bias)
• Collaborate with Systems Technology team to build the systems that will make the Rates team most efficient
• Build relationships with dealers, processing and communicating important information to team
• Interact with sell side Research teams
• Daily communication on markets (flows, technicals, issues, strategy feedback)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum of 2 years trading experience in global fixed income products on the buy-side
• Comprehension of the trading process
• Experience with large trade sizes and trade counts
• Experience building strong counterparty relationships
• Ability to evaluate market technicals
• Understanding of APAC fixed income market structure and products (e.g. FX, IRS, sovereign bonds, inflation swaps, bond futures, swaptions, cross-currency basis)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Exceptional attention to detail and drive to understand complex issues
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Docs
• Familiarity with trading platform interfaces (Tradeweb, Bloomberg)
• Programming language is a plus (Python, C++, SQL, and R)
