Job summary

Conrad Singapore Orchard is seeking a dedicated Fitness Centre Assistant to welcome guests at the Wellness facilities, including the gym and pool, and provide proactive service.

You will manage towels, lockers, safety, and coordinate with the IRD team to support pool service, while upholding pool SOPs and emergency procedures.

CPR/AED certification required; swim ability; previous hotel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or guest-facing role.
• Current valid CPR and AED certifications.
• Able to swim and maintain pool safety.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests at the gym and pool to provide proactive, friendly service.
• Handle towels, lockers and item loss minimization, ensuring clean facilities.
• Ensure safety around pool area, supervise swimmers, and respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Coordinate with the IRD team for pool service and ensure equipment maintenance.
• Inform guests to follow pool rules and SOPs, including lifesaving equipment checks.

A Fitness Centre Assistant with Conrad Hotels and Resorts builds relationships with guests who visit the wellness facilities, including the Gymnasium & Swimming Pool and offers proactive service and assistance to those individuals.

What will I be doing?

As a Fitness Centre Assistant, you will interact daily with guests who visit the wellness facilities, including the Fitness Centre & Swimming Pool and help, proactively, and as requested by guests. Specifically, a Fitness Centre Assistant will complete the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Knowledgeable about the products and services offered in the Fitness Centre & Swimming Pool
• Handle issuance of towels, lockers management and minimize loss of items
• Solicit feedback from guests to share with Director of Guest Experience
• Ensure that Fitness Centre guests receive efficient, friendly, consistent, and personalized service
• Ensure the safety of Team Member, Fitness Centre guests always
• Ensure cleanliness of the gymnasium, changing rooms and pool area (including deck chairs, cabanas and umbrellas)
• Coordinate with the IRD team to provide assistance on agreed level of service at the pool (including the serving of ice water and towels on arrival)
• Ensure that the pool is maintained to the highest standards, which requires the engagement of external vendors to provide specialized equipment and expertise in pool cleaning
• Oversee the safety of swimmer and prevent injury by providing supervision to the area at regular intervals (e.g patron around the pool) reacting immediately to any emergency and identify and possible signs of distress
• Provide pool rescue in accordance with set emergency procedures
• Inform guests when necessary to abide by the rules and regulations of the pool
• Perform regular inspections of swimming pool and lifesaving equipment in the swimming pool
• Familiar with swimming pool SOPs and adhere to requirements such as pool surveillance procedures, emergency action plans
