Qualifications

• Valid ATPL or CPL with G550 type rating from FAA/UK CAA/EASA or ICAO-recognized authority.
• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Experience operating internationally.
• Strong knowledge of Gulfstream G550 systems and performance.
• Solid understanding of international aviation regulations and safety.
• Experience in challenging weather and diverse environments is preferred.
• Excellent communication, coordination and teamwork.
• Ability to work with Captains, cabin crew, dispatch and maintenance.
• Calm, professional, time-critical decision making.
• Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
• VIP client service experience and discretion.
• Gulfstream experience on G550 or large-cabin aircraft is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assume command of the flight when directed by the Commander.
• Assume authority if the Commander is incapacitated, with responsibility for aircraft, crew and passengers.
• Participate in flight prep and monitor progress to ensure readiness.
• Briefing participation and contribution to pre-flight planning.
• Actively participate in flight conduct as assigned by the Commander.
• Operate the Gulfstream G550 per procedures and regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of G550 systems, limits, and performance.
• Review aeronautical, meteorological and NOTAM information prior to each flight.
• Review aircraft status and load prior to departure.
• Complete flight documentation including flight plans and logs.
• Coordinate with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Maintenance and Ground Ops.
• Ensure compliance with Operations Manual and aviation regulations.
• Maintain safety, discretion and customer service for VIP flights.
• Support exceptional onboard experience while prioritizing safety.

Main Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assume command of the flight when directed by the Commander.

• Assume the Commander’s authority and responsibility in the event of the Commander’s incapacitation, including responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and load in accordance with the Operations Manual (OM-A).

• Participate actively in flight preparation and continuously monitor the progress of the flight to ensure readiness to assume command and responsibility whenever required.

• Participate in crew briefings and contribute effectively to pre-flight planning and operational decision-making.

• Actively participate in the conduct of the flight in the role assigned by the Commander.

• Operate the Gulfstream G550 in accordance with approved procedures, checklists, company policies, and applicable regulations.

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of G550 aircraft systems, limitations, performance, and operational procedures.

• Obtain and review relevant aeronautical, meteorological, NOTAM, and operational information prior to each flight.

• Review the aircraft’s technical status and anticipated load prior to departure.

• Complete and verify all required flight documentation, including operational flight plans, mass and balance documentation, flight logs, and technical records.

• Coordinate effectively with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Maintenance, Ground Operations, and other relevant personnel.

• Ensure compliance with the Operations Manual, applicable Air Navigation Orders, and all relevant aviation regulations.

• Maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, discretion, and customer service when operating flights for VIP clients.

• Support an exceptional onboard experience while maintaining operational discipline and safety as the highest priority.

Minimum Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Valid ATPL or CPL with G550 type rating, issued by FAA, UK CAA, EASA, or another ICAO-recognized authority, as applicable.

• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.

• Previous experience operating in international airspace.

• Strong knowledge of Gulfstream G550 aircraft systems, performance, limitations, and operating procedures.

• Solid understanding of international aviation regulations, flight operations, and safety management principles.

• Experience operating in challenging weather and diverse operational environments is preferred.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work effectively with Captains, cabin crew, dispatch, maintenance, and ground support teams.

• A calm, professional approach with the ability to make sound decisions in time‑critical situations.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a polished, discreet manner when dealing with VIP and high‑profile clients.

• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, public holidays, and extended duty periods.

• Previous private jet or business aviation experience is highly advantageous.

• Previous Gulfstream experience, particularly on the G550 or other Gulfstream large‑cabin aircraft, is a strong advantage.

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
