QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Firewall Administrator to maintain 24/7 enterprise firewall and internet proxy infrastructure in Singapore.

You will work within a technical team to ensure high availability, security and performance while collaborating with cross-functional peers. The role requires hands-on management of firewall/proxy changes, ITIL-aligned processes, on-call coverage at night and on weekends, and continuous improvement of security controls and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Firewall administration experience.
• PCNSA, PCNSE, CCSA or CCSE certifications preferred.
• Experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls and related tools.
• Experience in banking environments.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement Firewall and Internet Proxy changes.
• Follow ITIL change process for Firewall/Proxy changes.
• Troubleshoot application/user access issues with teams.
• Cover on-call shifts at night and weekends.
• Design, rationalise and align with client infrastructure, policy and security requirements.
• Document operations processes and controls.
• Develop and maintain Firewall/Proxy documentation.
• Plan and support technology refresh and migrations.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies.
• Perform tuning and optimization of Firewall and Proxy rules and dormant policies.

Job Descriptions:

As part of the Firewall Team responsible to maintain the 24/7 Firewalls and Internet Proxy infrastructure. You will work within a team of engineers with strong technical competency to manage the enterprise Firewalls/Internet Proxy operations. You will ensure High availability, Security and Performance for the Enterprise Firewalls and Proxy infrastructure.

The candidate will need to apply proven dynamic, good analytical and problem solving skills. You will also need to collaborate with peers from other disciplines such as Network, Platform, Storage, Database and Applications to manage changes, requests and to resolve any incident.

Job description

• Experience in managing and implementing Firewall and Internet Proxy changes.


• Follow ITIL change process to prepare Firewall/Proxy changes.


• Work with application teams and business users to troubleshoot application/user access issues.


• Must be available to cover on-call shifts as needed at night and weekend.


• Work with infrastructure architects to rationalise the technical design and ensure the solution works well with client's infrastructure, policy, standards and security requirements.


• Ensure the operations process and controls are clearly documented and operationalised.


• Support, develop and maintain Firewall/Proxy standard and procedure documentation.


• Explore new solutions and technologies for operational efficiency and continual improve of the infrastructure for better operation experience.


• Plan, design and support technology refresh and migration activity for the infrastructure services.


• Able to work independently and as a good team player with analytical and planning skills. Require minimal supervision from supervisor.


• Always keeping up to date on the emerging technologies in the market.


• Perform tuning and optimization of Firewall rules, Proxy rules and Tufin dormant policy.


• Troubleshoot Firewall and Proxy issues to perform root cause analysis for incident owner.

Desired skills and experiences

• Minimum 5 years of Firewall administration experience.


• Good technical knowledge in leading technologies such Checkpoint Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, Tufin, Broadcom Proxy and Menlo Web isolation.


• Good technical knowledge in network routing/switching.


• Good technical Knowledge in ITIL processes.


• Good knowledge in security/perimeter defence postures.


• Experience working in banking environment.


• Preferred certification such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CCSA or CCSE


• Able to work under pressure.
