Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd seeks an experienced safety leader to drive fire safety, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness strategies across critical infrastructure and operations. You will shape organisational safety standards, strengthen regulatory compliance, and drive improvements for a safe, resilient workplace.

You will lead fire safety programmes, review designs for compliance, coordinate with regulators and contractors, and drive training, audits, and continuous improvement in safety

Qualifications

• Degree and above in any discipline with safety-related experience.
• SCDF Fire Safety Manager certification.
• MOM-recognised Workplace Safety & Health Officer certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes.
• Experience in stakeholder management and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Safety Management

• Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety strategies, policies, and programmes
• Review building designs, infrastructure plans, and facilities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and relevant codes
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout project planning and implementation
• Lead fire drills, emergency exercises, safety training, and awareness programmes
• Champion the integration of fire safety practices into daily operations

Workplace Safety & Risk Management

• Drive workplace safety initiatives that foster a proactive safety culture
• Assess operational workflows, facility layouts, and work environments to identify risks and recommend practical mitigation measures
• Develop and enhance workplace safety policies in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Advise on safety controls, ergonomic improvements, and preventive measures
• Monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Emergency Preparedness & Business Continuity

• Support the development of emergency preparedness plans, policies, and training programmes
• Review infrastructure and operational readiness to strengthen emergency response capabilities
• Coordinate preparedness assessments and emergency response exercises with key stakeholders
• Evaluate and enhance emergency response procedures to improve organisational resilience

Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the key point of contact with regulatory authorities and stakeholders on fire safety and workplace safety matters
• Provide professional guidance to ensure compliance requirements are embedded into projects and operational processes
• Maintain documentation for audits, licensing, inspections, and regulatory submissions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold high standards of safety and compliance

What We're Looking For

• Degree and above in any discipline, with relevant experience in safety, compliance, facilities management, or a related field
• Recognised SCDF Fire Safety Manager certification
• MOM-recognised Workplace Safety & Health Officer certification is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, workplace safety standards, emergency preparedness, and relevant building codes
• Experience in stakeholder management, risk assessment, and driving safety improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities independently with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
