A well-established global reinsurance and insurance firm is seeking a meticulous and driven Financial Reporting Accountant to join their Singapore team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking finance function supporting regional operations and transformation initiatives.

Only candidates with prior insurance or reinsurance industry experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end close, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness

  • Prepare and file MAS regulatory returns, IRAS GST submissions, and annual financial statements

  • Generate management reports to support decision-making

  • Handle reinsurance statements of accounts and coordinate with regional teams on premium adjustments and payments

  • Support implementation of IFRS 17 and other finance transformation projects

  • Identify and drive automation or efficiency improvements within reporting processes

  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and contribute to strategic initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 2-3 years of experience in financial reporting within the insurance or reinsurance industry (mandatory)

  • Familiarity with MAS reporting is a strong advantage

  • Pursuit or completion of CPA, ACCA, or other professional qualification is a plus

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-growth environment
