This position reports to: FP&A CoE Hub Business Area Lead.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collect, analyze, and interpret financial data. Each day, you will update budgets and forecasting models and identify trends and problems. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and optimize business outcomes.

This role contributes to the ABB Services in Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing analysis of business performance versus Plan and forecast.
• Performing month-end closing activities and MIS reports for the respective business/functions.
• Working with other financial professionals across divisions, hubs, countries, and functions to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance.
• Analyzing overhead under/over absorption and identifying root causes.
• Performing cost/benefit analysis and analysis of inventories, NWC.
• Preparing ad-hoc reports as per business/functions requests.
• Supporting the preparation of relevant organizational financial reporting, business planning, and forecasting.
• Supporting audits and ensuring the accuracy of financial data and reports through reconciliation and review of exceptions.
• Optimizing performance by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements.
• Identifying areas for process/report standardization across countries, divisions, and business units.
• Ensuring processes and controls are implemented in line with group and unit requirements.
• Maintaining proper audit trails and documentation for future audits.
• Maintaining SOPs for all activities performed.

Qualifications for the role

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
• CMA/CA/MBA Finance preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Hands-on experience with SAP FICO modules preferred.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Ability to work with diverse teams across different countries.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to quality.
