Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Budgeting Cycles & Management Reporting

  • Consolidate bottoms-up budget inputs from various stakeholders.
  • Prepare and enhance budget templates to support budgeting, consolidation, and variance analysis.
  • Extract and analyse financial reports to support decision-making.
  • Upload finalized budgets into Adaptive Planning.
  • Drive automation efforts for manual financial compilation, modelling, and calculations.

2. Operationalising Portfolio Funding

  • Update budgeting templates to reflect the transition from project IDs to cost centres.
  • Perform checks and reconciliations post-migration to ensure data integrity for FY25.

3. Business-As-Usual (BAU) Activities

  • Manage budget virements and operational queries from internal stakeholders.
  • Extract and prepare Income & Expenditure (I&E) drill-down reports.
  • Conduct cost driver and allocation analysis as required.
  • Provide support on portfolio or grant funding clarifications.
  • Prepare communications and responses for management or MDDI.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and requests from leadership.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or relevant professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to Finance Business Partnering and/or Technology sector.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to distill insights into compelling business narratives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; able to collaborate across functions and levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a business-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage large datasets independently.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; comfortable with change and driving improvements.
  • Proficient in Workday, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and dashboarding tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Programming knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
