Job description

We are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a real estate listed company with global markets and operations across key regions. This role encompasses overseeing financial management, including regulatory compliance, budgeting, financial planning, and stakeholder reporting.

You will ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., SFRS, IFRS), review the monthly and quarterly financial close process, overseeing tax planning, filing, and compliance, optimising tax efficiency while managing risks. You will lead the external audit process, liaising with auditors to address issues and ensure compliance and making sure robust internal controls and financial governance frameworks are in place.

You will drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives as well as preparing periodic financial forecasts and variance analyses to guide decision-making. You will partner with department heads to optimize resource allocation and manage expenditure.

You will monitor and manage cash flow to meet operational and investment requirements, support treasury activities, including debt management, foreign exchange risk mitigation, and liquidity planning as well as reviewing and assessing financial implications of capital expenditures and other investments.

You will besupporting the Head in evaluating and executing strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, supervising and mentoring the team and developing succession plans and provide growth opportunities for team members.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Accounting or professional qualification CA, CPA, ACCA
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate, BIG4 audit firms and SGX listed reporting.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and tax planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leadership competency.
