Financial Controller - Healthcare ( up to $9000)

About the Role:

Our client who is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to the comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and care of cancer patients is seeking a seasoned and hands-on Financial Controller to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations across the joint ventures in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. You will play a pivotal role in setting up and improving financial processes, driving budgeting and reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements across the region.

This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO, requiring occasional travel to regional offices. It is ideally suited for a finance professional with strong regional exposure, and a pragmatic approach to managing manual and evolving finance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of finance operations, including full set of accounts, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Oversee and improve manual finance processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
• Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles across regional entities
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage tax submissions and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities in each country
• Work closely with a small finance team (including Account Executive and Accounts Assistant) to support daily operations
• Act as a key finance business partner to the CEO, providing insights and strategic support
• Travel with the CEO to regional JV offices as required to support financial reviews and local operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience, including experience in a regional role
• Prior exposure to Southeast Asia markets, especially Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam
• Strong understanding of local tax regulations and statutory compliance
• Hands-on experience with manual accounting environments
• Mature, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a lean setup
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to travel with the CEO when needed
