A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Financial Controller to influence strategic financial direction amid exciting growth. As we strengthen our foundation for potential listing and long-term expansion, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in the construction industry and proven experience in IPO preparation or support. Basic up to $12,000 + AWS + Variable Bonus
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Location: Redhill
Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Drive the company's financial strategy in alignment with operational and growth objectives.
Provide timely, accurate financial insights to support executive decision-making.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning processes.
IPO Readiness & Corporate Structuring
Support the executive team in preparing for a potential public listing (IPO), including financial reporting compliance, governance, and documentation.
Work closely with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies on listing requirements and due diligence matters.
Strengthen corporate governance, internal controls, and financial transparency to align with listing standards.
Construction Finance & Project Costing
Oversee project accounting functions including budgeting, billing, variation orders, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
Liaise with project managers to ensure accurate financial management of ongoing contracts and tender submissions.
Manage cash flow projections and funding requirements specific to project lifecycles.
Financial Operations & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with statutory and tax regulations (IRAS, ACRA, GST, IFRS/SFRS etc.).
Oversee financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions in a timely and accurate manner.
Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal controls and accounting policies.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance and succession readiness.
Promote a high-performance culture that values collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Min. Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a relevant discipline with CPA, ACCA, or CA qualification.
Min. 5 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
Prior experience in the construction, infrastructure, or interior fit-out industry.
Proven involvement in supporting a company’s journey to IPO (SGX or equivalent) is essential.
Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, and risk management in a contract-based business.
Proficiency with accounting systems and ERP software.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
