Job summary

Kerry Consulting in Singapore seeks a Financial Controller with strong technical accounting expertise to lead controllership for a growing retail organisation.

You will report to the CFO, manage a team of professionals, and oversee group reporting, consolidation, statutory reporting, audit, and internal controls while driving finance transformation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with at least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in retail or consumer-facing industries.
• Strong technical accounting capabilities with expertise in group reporting, consolidation, statutory reporting, financial controls and audit.
• Finance transformation experience including enhancing accounting and controllership functions and leading process improvements.

Job description

Consistently lauded for their innovative portfolio, this emerging retail organisation is seeking a Financial Controller with strong technical accounting expertise and a proven track record in Finance transformation to join their team in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of qualified professionals, you will lead the full spectrum of controllership and accounting activities, including financial and management reporting, group consolidation, statutory reporting, month-end and year-end close, audit, accounting policies, internal controls and financial governance.

A key priority will be to strengthen the Finance operating framework and drive greater rigour, consistency and efficiency across accounting processes.

As a senior member of the Finance leadership team, you will also partner key stakeholders on accounting implications arising from business initiatives, investments and organisational changes, while ensuring robust financial governance and compliance.

Requirements

You are a qualified CA with at least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally gained within retail and/or consumer-facing industries. You possess strong technical accounting capabilities, with demonstrated expertise in group reporting, consolidation, statutory reporting, financial controls and audit.

A proven track record in Finance transformation, including enhancing accounting and controllership functions and leading business process re-engineering initiatives within a regional environment, would be advantageous. You are a hands-on and credible Finance leader who combines technical rigour with a continuous improvement mindset.
