Job summary

Allied Search Pte.Ltd. is seeking a Financial Controller to partner with executive leadership, steer budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate financial reporting in Singapore. You will optimize cash flow, strengthen controls, and lead a finance team across the organization.

The role emphasizes governance, tax strategy, and finance technology modernization, with a focus on delivering insights for strategic expansion and efficient operations. Southeast Asia experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.
• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / ACCA or equivalent certification.
• Experience handling Southeast Asia accounts will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager and executive leadership to align financial strategy with business goals.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation processes with dynamic financial models and key metrics.
• Direct the timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with statutory standards.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization and capital discipline across the enterprise.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and manage internal and external audits.
• Direct corporate tax strategies and ensure full compliance with local, national and international regulations.
• Spearhead process automation and implement BI tools to modernize the finance tech stack.
• Build and manage a high-performing finance team fostering accountability and development.
• Cultivate relationships with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and banks.
• Conduct evaluations of CapEx proposals, major contracts and cost structures to drive profitability.

Education

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent

CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification

Job description

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Partner directly with the General Manager and executive leadership to align financial strategy with business goals, providing commercial insights on pricing, capital investments, and long-term expansion initiatives.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation processes, developing dynamic financial models and key metrics to track performance, mitigate risks, and spot growth opportunities.
• Direct the timely, accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring strict compliance with statutory accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, optimize working capital, maintain primary banking relationships, and enforce overall capital discipline across the enterprise.
• Strengthen the internal control framework, enforce governance policies, and manage all internal and external audit engagements to ensure operational and financial integrity.
• Direct corporate tax strategies, oversee statutory tax filings, and maintain full compliance with local, federal, and international financial regulations.
• Spearhead process automation, elevate reporting capabilities, and implement business intelligence tools to streamline workflows and modernize the finance tech stack.
• Build and manage a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous professional development, and cross-functional support.
• Cultivate trusted, influential relationships across internal teams (Operations, BD, People & Culture, Shared Services) and key external partners (Auditors, Financial Institutions, Regulatory Agencies).
• Conduct rigorous evaluations of capital expenditure (CapEx) proposals, major contracts, and operational cost structures to drive bottom-line profitability and operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / ACCA or equivalent certification.
• Possess experience in handling Southeast Asia accounts will be an advantage
