Job summary

Accor in Singapore is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the financial control function, ensure robust governance, and provide strategic financial stewardship for the business.

The role reports to the Director of Finance and features a Hybrid Working model (3 days WFH, 2 days in office). Candidates should have a Masters in Finance/Accounting and a recognized professional qualification, with 10+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in hospitality or loyalty industries.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in financial control or senior finance roles.
• Experience in hospitality or subscription/loyalty industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closings, prepare group financial reports and KPI dashboards.
• Ensure tax filings, corporate income tax, GST, and other statutory compliance.
• Design and monitor internal controls; enforce accounting policies and risk oversight.
• Prepare accurate consolidated financial statements and support audit readiness.
• Manage employment pass renewals and local employment compliance.
• Support ESG commitments and Heartist culture; promote loyalty program to guests.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced and detail-driven Financial Controller to join our Singapore finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this pivotal role is responsible for managing and ensuring the preparation of all financial information for the business. You will carry out the financial control function, ensure all local and business financial governance elements are implemented and enforced, and embody Accor's Heartist philosophy through precise financial stewardship and strategic support.

What You'll Do

• Financial Reporting & Analysis - Oversee month-end and year-end all individual subsidiary financial closing, develop monthly management reporting packages and KPI dashboards, and lead audit readiness and compliance assurance

• Tax & Compliance Management - Manage corporate income tax, ECI and GST filings, ACRA statutory compliance, transfer pricing, and cross-border withholding tax obligations

• Financial Governance - Design and monitor internal control frameworks, enforce enterprise-wide accounting policies, and manage risk and treasury oversight

• Corporate Financial Reporting - Prepare accurate group financial statements in compliance with all applicable accounting and statutory standards

• Employer Compliance - Handle employment pass renewals, CPF contributions, AIS filings, and ensure full adherence to local employment laws

• Support Accor's ESG commitments, WHS policies, and Heartist culture initiatives

• Actively promote and represent the Accor Plus loyalty program to guests and stakeholders

Education:

• Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred

Experience:

• 10+ Years of experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role

• Demonstrated experience managing financial operations across multiple countries or jurisdictions

• Prior experience in the hospitality or subscription/loyalty industry is advantageous
